The IOPCC can now receive tax-deductible donations, to be used in support of the IOP Exchange Club missions and its facilities. The Isle of Palms Community Corporation was originally incorporated in 1961 and recognized as a not-for-profit by the SC Secretary of State. The IOPCC is the owner of the Isle of Palms Exchange Club property at 201 Palm Blvd, having been donated by the Beach Company, for its charitable use. In September 2014, The IOPCC was approved as a 501(c)(3), affiliated with the Isle of Palms Exchange Club, thereby becoming its Foundation arm. (The Exchange Club is a 501(c)(4) charity)
